Upcoming events!
We've got a few events coming up that you might be interested in...
AGM - 5th May, 7pm. Meet at Clowns or Jesters. This is when we vote for next year's committee, so if you fancy doing something, take a look at the committee page and prepare a short speech. Please come if you possibly can, we need as many people as possible to get a good representation of the club.
Jack Lambert Invitational - 9th May. Expect an email next week, but basically, look forward to some gnarly DS shredding.
Club Photo - 11th May, 9.45. Please wear current club tshirts and turn up. It will be behind Geography/SUSU on the grass.
Caersws Cup - 21-23 May. A few people are heading up to Wales for round 2. Transport costs apply, but will be subsidised. Let Jack know if you want to go!
Day Trips in May. Guy has some ideas, so keep an eye out for updates!
Summer Ride Times!
Due to the awesomeness that is sun, dusty trails, longer days, and epic amounts of coursework (oh, wait, scratch that last one), Sunday rides now start at 2pm! That is, both Wednesday and Sunday rides start at 2pm. Also keep an eye out on the forum for evening rides being organised.
Marin Roughride 2010
For 2010 the eighth Marin Roughride is on June 13th, the same weekend as last year.
Entries are initially up yet again by 20% in the first week.
The Marin Roughride is a moorland route with less road than any other event in England
and Wales. Good relations with local landowners allow the organisers to use miles of
tracks not normally open to riders.
This is a wilderness long distance ride for around 1,000 riders, on well flagged ancient
routes in the Welsh borders. Everyone is out to enjoy themselves, singly and as a group.
The achievement is to finish. The marshalls are there to help you do just that.
For more info click here or visit the Marin Roughride website here. Also, spot the SUMBC member in the bottom photo!
