COMMITTEE

President - Pete Irwin
PetePete is Scottish porridge power house. Petes riding style is the most changed over his time with the club. When he arrived he was mainly a road rider but at the time of writing petes upper body is mangled from a downhill accident at the clubs annual trip to the alps.

Secretary - Callum Corbin
CallumTo keep Callum quiet at committee meetings he has the job of writing down what everyone else says. When not engaged in scholarly activities Callum can be found in Lordswood coming up with creative new ways to destroy mountain biking equipment. As well as being a keen XC rider/racer Callum also enjoys trashing about on his downhill bike and "servicing" bike components.

Trip Captain - Tom Rand
TomTom has a lot of good riding intentions. These intentions are usually marred by crippling injuries, including broken wrist, broken toe and broken collar bone. When Tom is recovering from injury he spends his time watching the mountain bike world cup, motor cross and formula one.

XC Captain - Rob Collier
RobRob really made a mark on the club this year. Since he attended the most races of any member it was only logical to make him the XC Captain. As well as the Gorrick series Rob also tried out a few of the endurence races this summer. With his new bike its likely hes going to be even quicker than last year.

DH Captain - Pete Burrell
PeteThis year Pete is captaining the downhill team. Him and his van allow the downhillers to go in search of steeper decents. That said hes always looking for drivers and more downhill guys to session with. On occasion Pete can also be found on the loamy slopes in Lordswood.

Social Sec - Fresher Rob
Fresher RobRob's not a fresher anymore. Infact he's a third year. Given Rob's performance at the AGM it looks like this year is going to be a pretty exciting year for SUMBC socials.

Webmaster - Pat McSweeney
PatPat has been riding XC since about 2003 but his riding style took a bit of turn in 2007. Fed up of the foul winter weather and costly bike budget he converted his bike to single speed and has never looked back. Though not the fastest or the most technical Pat still prides himself in never wussing out of hill climb that a bike with gears can scale.
